Portuguese Wildlife

I will soon set up information on where to see some of Portugal's wildlife. Especially birds but also mammals and other wildlife.

I have already set up some species checklists showing English, Portuguese and Scientific names. So far I have posted species lists for Birds and Mammals for mainland Portgual - see the link below to the multi-language species lists.

I am also starting a another website to focus attention on the plight of the Iberian lynx (El lince-ibérico). This is the world's rarest species of cat and may already be extinct in Portugal. A hundred or two still survive in Spain, mostly in Andalucia.
